Liquid Foundation, for me, is either a payticular hit or miss because of my oily skin. One of my favorite beauty bloggers, Sazan Hendrix is the one I saw using this foundation. Oh, and also (Sazan.me) literally everyone that loves all things fashion blogger, needs to follow her!! I was watching one of her YouTube videos one day, and she was reviewing the Clinique stay matte oil-free foundation. Naturally, I wanted to see how well it worked on her. It ended up not making her look shiny throughout the day, and I was like okay I need to try this for myself. I went to Bloomingdales and bought one to try and let me tell you, I won’t be buying another liquid foundation ever again except for this one..because it actually stays matte!! I had it on for 8 hours and it stayed put all day. Considering it’s summer and humid out most of the time, I am so happy that my liquid foundation dreams have come true. For me, that is rare with liquid foundation. With this stay matte foundation, I’ve also been using the oily combination skin care line from Clinique..but that’s for another blog post.
The color I got matched with was 8 golden neutral, and I went one shade lighter. Right now, I have a summer tan and winter in Philly is definitely longer, so the summer tan will be gone in a week or so. There is one down side to the foundation because there is no SPF in it, so make sure to use sunscreen before applying it.When I apply it, I use my Real Techniques stippling brush, which gives me an airbrushed and more natural look. I bought my foundation from Bloomingdales for $24.00 (Bloomingdale’s.com). The items pictured above are just a few other face products I use when I want to apply a full face of makeup.
After 8 hours, the foundation stayed completely in place, so I can safely say it is a holy grail product. P.S.~Don’t mind the dutch braids and 76ers jersey..that’s me before the makeup comes off. 🙂
Thanks for stopping by:)
