I thought since I have not written about a makeup brand ever.. I would start fresh and do just that. I have always been a payticular fan of BareMinerals products because of how safe they are to my skin, and I like how they have SPF in them. I ‘ve been using the BareMinerals matte foundation powder since I was in 10th grade and it provides SPF 15, which is just a plus in my eyes. But since I’ve been using that for six years on and off, mainly on.. I decided to try something new in this makeup brand.
That lead me to researching their foundations, but I’ve never been a big fan of liquid foundations. So, I decided to go for the BareMinerals Complexion Rescue tinted hydrating gel cream.
I bought mine at Sephora for $29.50 Sephora.com. I was surprised at how light it felt on my skin and how well it blended evenly. But I wasn’t the only one wowed. My mom was too, and she ended up buying herself one.
The girl who matched me with the perfect color Dune 7.5, I thank you because seriously my skin has never liked a makeup product this much ever!
The hydrating gel cream blends so well after I apply a primer, but just a little bit because I do have an oily t-zone. To blend this, I use a damp real techniques sponge and then buff it out with the real techniques stippling brush, which are both from Ulta.(Both pictured below) However, if you are in a rush or didn’t clean your brushes the night before, just use your clean fingers to apply the cream all over and you will be good to go.
Personally, since this gives a medium coverage, I do apply two layers and sometimes concealer to cover any acne scars. But besides that, I like how I’m wearing makeup but my skin is still showing through. Remember to blend the neck because the whole neck is different from the face color doesn’t look good.. trust me, been there done that. I posted some pictures to show you all how the product looks on my skin down below. But I have to say this product by BareMinerals is one of my holy grail items now because it can last on my skin for 8 hrs with a little oiliness, so I give it an 8 out of 10.
Thanks for stopping by:)
